Although at first glance it may seem that not much has changed, the new Polo has a very complete redesign. In the front area we found a front that is closer to the Volkswagen Golf, with more polygonal headlights and stylized forms, They include LED daytime running lights with broken forms in the lower region and continuing the line set new thin grille with horizontal chrome trim one. The grille design is also inspired by the popular compact. As the bumper, fog lights are in the same position but with more marked shapes, angles embedded in forming the bumper in its middle. Bumper grid is divided into two zones, following suit of those angles.

In the case of the Polo R-Line finishing, we find the same bumper but those angles in black, and topped by lateral moldings of the same color, so the appearance changes considerably. In the case of the Polo GTI, we find the same finish of the R-Line, but with a much more marked and hexagonal grid, plus a red accent in the central chromed upper grille and GTI emblems.

In side and rear views we discovered a very similar ways to those of the fifth-generation Polo, although the forms and creases are more pronounced, and the rear lights have new graphics and three-dimensional shapes. In some versions we will also find a second chrome exhaust outlet, but this probably will not be functional, but a mere ornament.
